I have been one to not plan out too far ahead in life and I pretty much have lived my life day by day. However, circumstances have changed in my life and the way I view things are a bit different than what they used to be. My goals within two years are to be established at an educational center where I will be able to teach technical skills that I learnt throughout the years. Preferably, I would like to gain employment at a Skills Center where teaching technical skills is the primary curriculum focus. Another goal within the two years is to improve on how I approach teaching and improve methods/techniques that will allow me to provide pertinent information for my students to use in mastering their skills.

 

My eight year goals are to be involved with establishing a scholarship or involved in the promotion of existing scholarships for underrepresented students. Currently, I am involved with a scholarship created by La Hermandad De O eMe Te. La Hermandad is a brotherhood I am a member of which was established in 1996 at Washington State University. Carnales (brother) of La Hermandad created this scholarship to help students of underrepresented groups in the Pasco/ Tri City, WA area. This year (2020) was the third Dia De Los Muertos 5/10k Scholarship Run which raised enough funds to award scholarships to three local students. If I were to gain employment somewhere out of state, this scholarship is one goal that I will continue to be a part of.
